Northern Irish baritone Christopher Cull is an alumnus of the National Opera Studio, Guildhall School of Music & Drama, Royal Irish Academy of Music and Queen\u2019s University Belfast.<\/p>\n
His operatic appearances include Marcello in La boh\u00e8me<\/em> for Opera Holland Park; Masetto in Don Giovanni<\/em>, Don Carissimo in La Dirindina<\/em>, Pan in Daphnis et Chlo\u00e9<\/em> and Assassin\/Apparition in Macbeth<\/em> for Northern Ireland Opera; Theseus in Britten\u2019s A Midsummer Night\u2019s Dream<\/em> for Blackwater Valley Opera Festival; Tarquinius in The Rape of Lucretia<\/em> and Lelio in Le donne curiose<\/em> at Guildhall School of Music & Drama; Zaretsky in Eugene Onegin<\/em> for Buxton Opera; Donner in Das Rheingold<\/em> with Birmingham Philharmonic Orchestra; Valentin in Faust<\/em> for Clonter Opera; Bank Account Billy in The Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny<\/em> for Opera Theatre Company; and Le Ge\u00f4lier\/Javelinot in Dialogues des Carm\u00e9lites<\/em> for Grange Park Opera.<\/p>\n A longstanding collaborator with composer Conor Mitchell and Belfast Ensemble, Christopher has created roles in The Headless Soldier<\/em>, Abomination<\/em> and MASS<\/em>. These works have taken him to the Lyric Theatre Belfast, Abbey Theatre Dublin and Queen Elizabeth Hall, Southbank Centre.<\/p>\n His concert engagements include Bach\u2019s St John Passion<\/em> with the RT\u00c9 National Symphony Orchestra, Walton\u2019s Belshazzar\u2019s Feast<\/em> at the Barbican, Mendelssohn\u2019s Elijah<\/em> at Truro Cathedral, Monteverdi\u2019s Vespers of 1610<\/em> with Sheffield Oratorio Chorus, Brahms\u2019 Ein deutsches Requiem<\/em> with The Angmering Chorale and Handel\u2019s Messiah<\/em> at Knock Basilica.<\/p>\n Christopher is an Arts Council of Northern Ireland Young Musicians\u2019 Platform winner and a former Young Artist with Opera Theatre Company.
